It has been 4 years since the Battle of Ludwig's took place in West Vincent. This is when the West Vincent Supervisors attempted to take the privately owned park of the Ludwig's Corner Horse Show Association, in an effort to turn it into........a park. The attack was led by Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Ken Miller. Since then, the other two accomplices in the Eminent Domain action (Zoe Perkins and Clare Quinn) have left office. Never, ever forget that it takes decent and honest people in office to protect government for trampling your rights. You get what you vote into office. When you vote for oppression, do not be surprised when you become oppressed.

Please take a stand and support the beautiful grounds and tradition of the Ludwig's Corner Horse Show. Even if you don't care about horses, remember, it is a 70 year old Community Day. Proceeds from the event go to Charity. Hundreds volunteer for it, Thousands attend. This is your neighborhood and these are your neighbors, good stewards of the countryside. Please become a member and let people like Ken Miller know that you appreciate private property rights and what the Horse Show means to so many.

While you're thinking about it, think about those that risk life and limb in your backyard, for no pay. That's right, no compensation whatsoever. They do it because that is what you do for a neighbor in need. So when you dial 911 and the Ludwig's Corner Fire Company answers your need for help, those people leave work and their families for you. There is NO TAX that you pay for the Fire Company. Please send them a donation. Any amount you invest helps protect YOU! Send it to:

Ludwig's Corner Fire Company No. 1
1325 Pottstown Pike
Glenmoore PA 19343

Lastly, the Ludwig's Fire Company is always looking for volunteers. Volunteering does not mean you have to fight fires. Talk to the Chief. They even have a Junior Program which starts at age 14! For more information on Volunteering go to  http://www.ludwigscornerfire.com/imp-info.php  It's all about Community, please be a part.

Best wishes
