As we approach the last Township Board of Supervisors meeting on
Monday, December 23 (tomorrow night),I see there is a notice in
the Pottstown Mercury:
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF WEST VINCENT
TOWNSHIP AND REPLACING ALL OTHER MAPS, PARTS OF THE ZONING MAP,
ORDINANCES, OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES, INCONSISTENT THEREWITH; AND
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE IN REFERENCE TO TIER V
DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN THE R-2 AND R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONING
DISTRICTS. SUMMARY OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
As is the tradition of the West Vincent Supervisors, they will
be voting right at the Christmas holiday to change zoning. Who
will possibly notice? Reviewing the Township website, I did
find the ordinance in it's entirety, or did I?
That file is here. But the ordinance is NOT
in it's entirety. At the end of the document there is a page
that states "EXHIBIT A ZONING MAP REVISION" But there is no
map! There is a page that lists the map, but NO map. Therefore,
the residents cannot actually see what is being changed!
I apologize for not sending out information on this earlier. I
don't remember this zoning ordinance being fully discussed and
explained at a township meeting. Only the part about changing
Birchrunville's zoning that I have written about, which seems to
have been deleted, for now.
Again, have a Merry Christmas!
