The November 25 meeting that I recently covered prompted Township Manager James Wendelgass to scribe a clarifying letter attached his Manager's Report dated December 9, 2013. In addition, he read it aloud at the same meeting. That letter can be sent here: http://westvincenttwp.org/images/docs/Reports%20120913.pdf . The bulk of the letter is filler to mask the the most important part, the second paragraph, below.

"Response to Comments Made at Last Meeting

I would like to respond to several points which were raised at the last Board of Supervisors meeting with respect to the BV zoning district and the position that the Township is required to have consultants perform studies before proposing amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. I’ve looked into the entire situation, and can respond as follows

I now understand that the reference to Act 247 was to the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. Sections 10101-10107, which also was Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247. Unfortunately, the Act is referred to as the “MPC” and not Act 247, which was the source of the confusion at the meeting."

Clearly Mr. Wendelgass didn't listen when the resident specifically referred to Act 247 as “the Muni Code” and the “Municipal Planning Code”, no less that THREE TIMES. Mr. Wendelgass et al may not have been “confused” if they had listened to what was being clearly stated by the audience member. What Mr. Wendelgass doesn't explain is why he and others on the Board and other committees INSISTED that the MPC (Act 427) was the Municipal Sewage Code (Act 537), even after the citizen had hard proof that she was correct. It just appeared that the administration was intentionally abusing the resident. Re-read the transcript and definitely watch the video attached my e-mail of December 13, 2013.

West Vincent Township's last Board of Supervisors meeting of the year is Monday, December 23. It will also be Supervisor Clare Quinn's last Supervisor meeting. The taxpayers will be saving $5000 per year by not having to pay for her health insurance.  Everyone have a Merry Christmas.

Best wishes
