15 September 2011
In the last few months, I have mentioned both Sam and Eleanor
Morris. Sam was a local Representative for almost two decades.
Eleanor was the original movement for land and property
conservation and preservation. There are a great many things in
our area that are preserved for us and future generations because
of the Eleanor. On September 11, 2011; Eleanor passed away,
leaving behind a legacy that I hope can never be vanquished. This
legacy comes not from a desire to build a legacy, instead it comes
from doing the right thing. I have attached a link to her obituary
and have printed it in full here. While money is tight, if you can
donate, I would highly recommend the donations go to Lundale Farm,
Inc., which is a a nonprofit organization founded to promote the
Morrises' legacy in land preservation and farming.
